Girls, I have found my favorite shoe designer. Sure, I love a Valentino Rock Stud or a colorful Jimmy Choo as much as the next gal, but let's be honest, I can drool all day and still not have $1,000 for a pair of shoes! But when it comes to affordable, well-made, and absolutely adorable footwear, I find myself turning to Jeffrey Campbell shoes. I already have several pairs, and find myself drawn to them as I shop other retailers.
Jeffrey Campbell shoes are comfortable and have some of the cutest details I have ever seen on shoes. These details make them easy to dress up or down, as they rise to the occasion when paired with a little black dress, or add a touch of femininity to a pair of jeans and a tee when dressed down. For sizing, I have found that they run true to size (I wear an 8 most of the time). The leather does stretch a bit over time, so don't be too worried if they are a little snug, because they will form to your feet over time! I have rounded up the pairs that I own, as well as the pairs that I have on my "wish list" for the future. Hope you find them as irresistible as I do! I'll keep posting more pics as I add to my collection. Note: A lot of these show up in the color black, but I usually don't buy black (too harsh on me) so I actually own other colors, mainly pink!

My boyfriend and I moved to Seattle exactly a year ago, and have since had the chance to explore and get to know the city! While we are learning more about the city everyday, I thought I would compile some of our favorite things to do and places to eat so far. We are not much for touristy things most of the time, so these are some unique ways to see the city that maybe you haven't heard of before! 1. Get a free banana at the Amazon Campus This little known thing-to-do in Seattle is free and healthy! Amazon has a free banana stand right next to the Doppler building downtown, located in the little courtyard next to Great State Burger (yummy fries!). Pick up your healthy snack and wander around looking at the colorful Doppler building, the unique design of the Amazon Spheres, and stop by AmazonGo for a glimpse of the future of retail! 2. Take the ferry to Bainbridge Island This is hands down one of the best adventures we have been on in the area. The ferries are fairly inexpensive, and offer amazing views of the water on your way to the island, and views of the city as you head back. Start early so that you have lots of time on the island, and so you can beat the mid-day crowds on the ferry, because they can fill up fast! Once you are on the island, Bainbridge Distillery is a must-stop. This distillery has won awards for its vodka, and it's easy to taste why! They offer a free tasting and distillery tour, but I have a feeling you'll be leaving with at least a bottle of vodka and some whiskey chocolates! 3. Walk along Alki Beach This little town right on the beach has a southern California feel, and a great view of the mountains and Seattle across the water. Stop by Ampersand Cafe, a cute little Hawaiian coffee shop, for a cup of coffee, and drink it as you stroll along the water. Alki Beach gets busy fast when the weather is nice, so go early or off-season if you want a more peaceful walk on the beach. Although we have yet to see them, there are signs along the beach telling of possible seal sightings! 4. Happy Hour at La Cocina Oaxaqueña Located up in the hip Capitol Hill district in downtown Seattle, this little Mexican restaurant has an awesome outdoor patio and one of the best happy hour deals in the city. From 4-6pm Monday through Friday, swing by for super strong $6 margaritas, and snacks starting at $4 for chips and guacamole. Their food is inspired by southern Mexico, and is fresher and lighter than most Mexican food. They also have an awesome salsa bar featuring 4 different types of freshly made salsa. 5. Have a pint at GhostFish Brewing Everything at this brewery is gluten free, including the beer, but you would never know it! Whether you are avoiding gluten or not, the unique flavors and cozy atmosphere are sure to please all tastes. Their beers experiment with all different ingredients to achieve gluten free beer unlike any other. They also have an entirely gluten free menu. On most days, you will see people hanging out on the small outdoor patio or inside at the bar, playing board games and enjoying a pint! Have you visited Seattle before? What are your favorite places to go? I would love to hear from you if you explore one of the places above!
Hi, everyone! Happy Monday!
Working in retail, I have learned some pretty neat little tricks on how to style my clothes. It's a little different when you are styling an inanimate object like a mannequin, but a lot of the details still apply, and can really elevate an outfit. Below is a video showing you how to cuff your denim jacket like I do! Let me know in the comments below what you think of this style, and if you would like to see more styling videos on the blog. Thanks for stopping by! |
